User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Good velcro, broken zipper
I used this bag for 3+ years and it worked great! I would wager to bet that anyone complaining about the velcro just installed it incorrectly. The velcro straps should go completely over the bars under the seat and are strong enough to support a bag full of rocks off-roading (if that’s what you wanted to carry). The zipper on my bag finally broke after cramming more than I probably should have for several years. The reflective strip on the back was perfect for hanging my bike light on.

5 Stars Great Bag
This is exactly what I needed to carry a small tire repair kit, cell phone, car keys, etc. It does the job well. I still have plenty of room left and it is expandable. It fit nicely on the bike. It is secure with the velcro straps. Hasn’t loosened or shifted one bit in over several hundred miles.

3 Stars It’s just OK
This bag fit OK under my bike’s seat and holds a lot. I have cable and lock, Bell emergency tool, and tire repair kit in it.

Unfortunately, Velcro straps become undone from the vibration, and the bag starts dragging on the rear wheel.

3 Stars Unstable, small, but good for emergency tools
The other reviewers are right. I don’t see how they intend for the bag to stay stable on the bottom of a seat using just the velcro straps. I also use a short (5 inch) bungee cord, wrap it under the bag, and attach it to the seat. As far as I can tell, without the bungee cord, the bag would fall right off. No problems with the zipper, it opens the entire back and gives easy access. I can fit a spare tube, bike tools, and a few granola bars in the bag easily.

Bell Gel Contour Bicycle Seat Cover

Bell Gel Contour Bicycle Seat Cover

Gel filled pad for long lasting comfort. Fits tightly over most touring and mountain bike saddles.

User Ratings and Reviews

2 Stars Seat is too small
They need a way to advise as to how this thing is sized. It’s too small for my seat and is useless unless I can find a grand child that needs one.

5 Stars Not being retarded I knew what I was ordering and am very happy with my seat cover
I’m trying to trim down and am cycling to help get back in shape. Unfortunately I’ve learned that if you don’t use a seat pad like this why biking long distances and often, your -cough- undercarriage will chafe and hurt intensly. This seat cover fixed all that, I am now biking comfortably and happily. I am using this on a normal mountain bike seat, I dunno what doofus that they could slap this on an excercise bicycle.

Bell Gel Base Bicycle Seat Cover

Bell Gel Base Bicycle Seat Cover

Bell, Gel Base Seat Cover, Shock Absorbing Gel Increases Comfort On Any Bike Seat, Breathable, Stretch Lycra Cover, “Anti-Slip” Gripping Material Underneath Stays On Saddle.

User Ratings and Reviews

2 Stars good until it melts
I had a little trouble getting this saddle cover to fit tightly, it took some effort to get the ties real taught and to cross tie them under the seat. It worked pretty well for a while, but then over time it felt like the gel was breaking up and then I left the bike in the sun and the gel started to melt an ooze out of the material. That was it, it was ruined. It lasted one season of riding. Felt good when it worked.

4 Stars Not for bicycles
I did a search on Amazon for bicycle seat cover. I saw the picture for this and the price and it looked perfect. Unfortunately, I scanned the reviews too quickly. What I thought I read was that it was a bit too tight so I was thinking this would be perfect for a road bike. But in reality it apparently is perfect for a STATIONARY bike. One of those with the huge seat on it. For a bicycle this thing is too big, at least for standard seats.

I rated it for the quality and price which is good. The description is misleading.

1 Star Horrible
I am extremely disappointed with this product. I only bought one because my recent seat was stolen. I had it for easily 1-2yrs and it was still in pretty good shape. The one I recently purchased is horrendous. I will have to purchase another after only a month’s use. It has ripped at the sides, the gel is coming out. I do not understand how all the previous gel seats I have bought have consistently lasted for at least a year and this one did not last even a month. This was the worst purchase made.

2 Stars Wears thin quick
This seat cover is very comfortable, but if your saddle is not the same size as the cover then the sides will wear thin quickly and the gel will seep out.

Within 2 weeks the gel started to come out the sides.
